Lucas Piazon has told Chelsea that he would like to remain with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Brazilian scored the only goal of the game on Saturday as Eintracht Frankfurt grabbed a 1-0 win over Schalke in the Bundesliga and, sitting in ninth spot in the process, are increasingly dreaming of a European spot.

Piazon is on loan at the Bundesliga club and, having made 15 appearances in the German top flight so far this season, is thoroughly enjoying his stint.

Indeed, so happy is the 21-year-old that he is eager to remain with Eintracht Frankfurt rather than head back to Chelsea.

Piazon told German daily Bild: "The Bundesliga was not good for me at first, being very physical and fast. But I learned and improved myself. I feel good.

"I would like to stay."

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Chelsea's partner club in the Netherlands, Vitesse Arnhem. He made 29 appearances in the Eredivisie, scoring eleven goals and providing his team-mates with eight assits.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will allow Piazon to extend his stay at Eintracht Frankfurt or choose instead to demand he starts the pre-season at Stamford Bridge.
