Tottenham Hotspur are having Cagliari midfielder Godfred Donsah watched ahead of a potential summer swoop.

The 18-year-old has been turning heads with his performances under Gianfranco Zola at Cagliari and as a result a number of sides are now paying close attention to his progress.

One side keen on Donsah are Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, who are having the youngster watched on a regular basis, according to Sky Italia.

The midfielder has turned out 14 times in Serie A for Cagliari so far this season, also chipping in with two goals and a single assist.

Donsah started his career in the youth ranks with Palermo after being plucked from his native Ghana.

The midfielder spent time with another Italian club in the shape of Hellas Verona last term before linking up with Cagliari.

His contract with Zola's men runs until the summer of 2018, but Cagliari may find their resolve to keep hold of Donsah severely tested when the transfer window opens again in the summer.

Cagliari currently sit just inside the drop zone in Serie A with 20 points from 23 games so far.
