Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is confident that his side are good enough to test Juventus’ imperious record at home.

Dortmund will take an away trip to the Juventus Stadium to take on Massimiliano Allegri’s side tonight in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

Both clubs’ domestic form could not have been more different. While Juventus are nine points clear at the top of Serie A at the moment, Dortmund are embroiled in a relegation battle in Germany and are 12th in the league table, just three points off the drop zone.

However, Klopp is thrilled at the prospect of taking on the Italian champions in the Champions League and is expecting a tough encounter in Turin later tonight.

The Dortmund boss is excited about the tie as two completely different styles of football are going to clash tonight and he is expecting a quality encounter between two good sides.

“Juventus have an experienced team, extremely experienced in fact, and they're tough opponents”, Klopp said in a press conference.

“They can play high-quality football at a very slow pace. Our style of play is completely different. It could get interesting.”

Juventus are unbeaten at home for two years, but Klopp is of the view that if his team can take their chances, they will have the opportunity to get a positive result in Turin.

“You have to take your chances, then you've got a real chance”, the Dortmund boss said.

“This is football. We've got a chance. That's clear.”
