Feyenoord are set to push the boat out to delight their supporters by re-signing John Guidetti in the summer.

Guidetti spent the 2011/12 season on loan at De Kuip, scoring 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie games and becoming a cult hero with the Feyenoord fans in the process.

The club's supporters even started an online effort to raise enough money to sign Guidetti from Manchester City on a permanent basis, though the Dutch club labelled their attempts unhelpful.

Feyenoord looked at moving for Guidetti last summer before he joined Celtic on loan, but were unconvinced by his fitness.

Now, according to Dutch broadcaster RTV Rijnmond, Feyenoord are keen to bring Guidetti back to De Kuip at the end of the season.

Guidetti's contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the season and, though wanted on a permanent basis by Celtic, has so far refused to pen a deal with the Scottish champions.

The Sweden international is thought to want to assess the offers on his table in the summer before deciding on his next move.

Guidetti has also been linked with Marseille and Inter this season.
