Borussia Dortmund have identified Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic as a potential replacement for Manchester United target Mats Hummels at the Westfalenstadion this summer.

Hummels’ future at BVB has been a constant source of speculation for some time now and the team’s form on the pitch has exacerbated the situation, with the defender being constantly linked with a move to Manchester United at the end of the season.

Though results and performances have picked up in the last few weeks, talk of Manchester United preparing a big-money move for the German international defender have refused to die down.

While Dortmund are not keen to lose the influential German this summer, they are scouring the market for a replacement, if Hummels eventually decides to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the German outfit have zeroed in on Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic as the man who has the ability to replace Hummels at Westfalenstadion.
