Ahead of tonight’s clash against Burnley, Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has warned his side not to take the visitors lightly, insisting that there are no easy games in the Premier League.

Liverpool are riding high in the league; going undefeated in their last 11 Premier League encounters. It is a run that has seen them collect 20 points from their eight league outings since the turn of the year, more than any other team.

As a result, Brendan Rodgers’ side have risen steadily up the league table and are currently lying sixth as they appear to be among the strong favourites for a spot in next season’s Champions League, an upturn in fortunes that not many expected due to their uneven form until mid-December.

After defeating Manchester City 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday, the Reds are due to host relegation strugglers Burnley in their next league fixture tonight. Skrtel has refused to get carried away after their win over the Premier League champions and has insisted that there are no easy games in the league.

“I have to say that in the Premier League, every single game is a difficult one”, Skrtel told the club site.

“I remember the game we played away from home against Burnley and it wasn't easy”, he added, recollecting the Reds' narrow 1-0 win.

Sean Dyche’s men troubled Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a hard-fought 1-1 draw recently and the Slovakia international cited that match as an example to underline the strength of the Clarets.

“They got a draw against Chelsea recently and they will try to do something similar at Anfield.

“But we are confident and we want to keep the momentum going and get the three points.

“We will do everything we possibly can to get the three points.”

A win for Liverpool will significantly boost their chances of second successive Champions League appearance.
