Ronny Deila has provided a fitness update on his Celtic squad ahead of Sunday's Scottish Cup quarter-final against Dundee United.

Celtic are hunting a domestic treble, sitting top of the Scottish Premiership table and through to the final of the Scottish League Cup, set to take place on 15th March against their cup opponents Dundee United.

Deila is relishing the first of a double-header of games against the Arabs and has provided an update on the members of his squad struggling through injury.

He told a press conference: "[Adam] Matthews twisted his ankle and will hopefully be ready for Sunday.

"John Guidetti will be tested today and also on Saturday. Kris Commons is the same.

"Mikael Lustig and Charlie [Mulgrew] are still out."

And specifically on Mulgrew, the Celtic manager added: "We have to wait six weeks before we start doing anything; a difficult injury so we have to be cautious."

Celtic sit six points clear of second placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership and firmly on course to retain their crown.

However, while the Bhoys head into their clash with Dundee United in high spirits, they did lose the last meeting between the two teams, going down to a 2-1 defeat to the Arabs at Tannardice in December.
