Ander Herrera has spoken of his pride at playing for Manchester United and explained he will not stop working until he has brought success to Old Trafford.

The Spanish midfielder was snapped up by the Red Devils last summer, being tempted away from Basque outfit Athletic Bilbao to bolster manager Louis van Gaal's options in the centre of the park.

His performances in February were highly praised and confirmation of how valued Herrera's displays were came earlier today when the club's fans voted him their Player of the Month for February.

The 25-year-old is delighted with the accolade and explained he feels lucky every day to be able to count himself a Manchester United player.

"I always say this – I feel very lucky to be a Manchester United player and I will always be the same – I want to try to play with passion, work hard and help the team", Herrera told MUTV.

"My dream is to achieve trophies with Manchester United – I will not stop until I achieve that."

And Herrera feels his tireless performances for Manchester United have not been lost on the club's fans, who value hard work and commitment from their stars.

"I think they like players who work a lot and who play with passion", the Spaniard explained.

"They have always shown me affection from the first day and I am very grateful."

Herrera will next set his mind to helping Manchester United to advance in the FA Cup, where they face Arsenal in the quarter-final at Old Trafford on Monday evening.
