Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini insists that he will try to finish his contract with the Citizens because that is what he aims to do at any club.

The Chilean's agent earlier in the week admitted his client could be open to discussions with Napoli if he is a free agent in the summer, with Pellegrini's position at the Etihad Stadium seemingly being under threat.

However, the 61-year-old, who has a contract with the Sky Blues until June 2016, insists that he looking to complete his obligations with the Manchester-based club before looking at any new proposal or even thinking of signing a contract extension with the Citizens.

Pellegrini also stressed the fact that the idea of leaving the club would only come to him in case he was not happy at the Etihad Stadium.

However, that is not the case, according to the former Real Madrid boss and that is why his future is easy to define at the moment.

"I have a contract here until June 2016 and I will finish my contract here.

"And if I can extend my contract I will. When I sign a contract I always try to finish it.
