Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti feels that Cristiano Ronaldo makes full use of his potential, which has made him such a phenomenal player.

Ancelotti guided the Spanish outfit to their coveted tenth European Cup last season, when his side got the better of Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in the final in Lisbon.

Former Manchester United forward Ronaldo was on the scoresheet in Lisbon and he has continued his scintillating run of form in the current season, having scored 41 goals and assisted a further 21 in all competitions to help Ancelotti’s side to second spot in La Liga and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Italian has said that the amount of effort Ronaldo puts into training would surprise most people, adding that the Portugal international’s professionalism and dedication is unmatched.

“A lot of people would be really surprised by him”, Ancelotti said in an interview with FIFA.

“As I’ve said many times before, he’s a player who’s a one-off in terms of professionalism and responsibility, even at this level."

The three-time Champions League winning manager further said that with Ronaldo it is not just his natural gifts, but also the effort that he puts in to squeeze every ounce of his talent that sets him apart.

“He was born with extraordinary talent, but he squeezes the juice from and works on that talent thanks to a level of drive I’ve seen in few other players.”
