Radamel Falcao has promised to assess his future at the end of the season with his priority being to find a place where he can play on a consistent basis.

The striker is currently nearing the end of a season-long loan deal with Premier League giants Manchester United. For Falcao, the spell has been one of frustration, with little in the way of consistent playing time being handed to him by manager Louis van Gaal.

The Colombian, who will return to Monaco in the summer if Manchester United do not activate a €53m purchase clause, has hit the back of the net just four times.

Now on international duty with his country, Falcao has explained the time for taking stock is quickly approaching.

"I think any footballer needs to play and when playing is happy", he told Radio Caracol.

"I'm totally committed to [Manchester United], there are eight matches to go [in the league] and anything can happen.

"When the championship ends surely I'll sit down, perform an analysis and decide what's best for me.

"Obviously I need to find a place where I have continuity and can play", Falcao added.

The former Atletico Madrid and FC Porto striker will be hoping to be handed as much playing time as possible over Manchester United's final eight games of the season.

Falcao was given just seven minutes by Van Gaal in Manchester United's 2-1 weekend win over Liverpool.
