Ajax's next big talent, Riechedly Bazoer, is not thinking of a quick exit from the Amsterdam ArenA and has raised the possibility of putting off a move to England until he is 23.

Bazoer has in some quarters been dubbed the "new Patrick Vieira" and Ajax are working on extending his contract, with the first meetings having been held between the 18-year-old's representatives and club officials last week.

Bazoer has been linked with a number of English sides, including Arsene Wenger's Arsenal and Jose Mourinho's Chelsea. But now is not the right time to leave, the midfielder insists.

"I believe in myself and I'm not afraid of anybody", the Dutch starlet explained to Voetbal International.

"The compliments are nice, but nothing more. Now and again the scouts from foreign clubs come looking for me, well, that was a few years ago. I do not dwell on it.

"I'd like to stay at Ajax and I'll be 23 when the new contract expires. Perhaps that is the ideal age to make the move to England", he mused.

So far this season Bazoer has made eleven appearances in the Eredivisie for Ajax after establishing himself under coach Frank de Boer since the turn of the year.

De Boer is aiming to build Ajax's midfield around the 18-year-old heading into next term and will hope that the club do have to not field offers from English sides for his services over the summer transfer window.
