Fernando Torres says that if he can score in tomorrow's All-Star Charity Match at Anfield, he will celebrate as if having scored for Liverpool in an official game.

The 31-year-old played for Liverpool between 2007 and 2011, before leaving for Chelsea in a £50m deal which left a bitter taste in the mouths of many Reds fans, with whom the Spaniard was a firm favourite.

Torres will be back at Anfield tomorrow as part of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard's team and is set to play in attack alongside the man who succeeded him as the striking focal point at the club, Luis Suarez.

Torres is relishing the occasion and insists it would mean much for him to hit the back of the net.

"If I could do that [score], I would celebrate like if I was scoring in a Liverpool shirt", he told Liverpool's official site.

"There are many memories, nice memories – great nights, great games, many goals scored in front of the Kop – and they made me feel like I could fly.

"I'm sure if I could score a goal, I can remember that kind of situation and try to enjoy it and celebrate like it's an official game", Torres added.

The All-Star Charity Match, which pits a side led by Gerrard against a side led by another Liverpool legend in the form of Jamie Carragher, is sold out.

A number of former Reds stars are set to play, including Xabi Alonso and Pepe Reina, while Arsenal legend Thierry Henry will also be pulling on his boots.
