Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn has revealed that a number of potential signings on a list he handed to chairman Andrew Umbers recently are still available.

Redfearn complied a list of players which he handed to the chairman as he looked to bring in a number of loan signings to bolster the ranks at Elland Road.

But with Leeds well clear of the drop zone in the Championship and aiming simply for a top ten finish, the club refused to act on Redfearn's list, with no new players being brought in.

Redfearn, who is hoping to be in charge after the end of the season, insists several players are still available and should also be in the summer, meaning his list is still very much valid. But he stressed that it is not within his power to make signings for the club, given the management structure in operation.

"Yes, some of them are still there that I think would make a difference", he told BBC Radio Leeds.

"But I'm part of a process, I'm not ultimately the man who goes and says 'we'll sign him'.

"I suggest things and it goes through the process. There's [sporting director] Nicola Salerno and [owner] Massimo Cellino.

"Then if it's a viable idea they will go with it and if it isn't they've got their own ideas and we've got to talk about that."

Redfearn has seen his attempts to sign a number of players he identified thwarted this term, with the head coach having set his heart on adding striker Luciano Becchio and winger Martyn Woolford to his squad, only to see neither the Norwich man nor the Millwall star arrive.
