Arsenal and Liverpool linked Spanish forward Pedro Rodriguez has admitted that he going through a tough phase at Barcelona.

The Barcelona man was taken off at the break in Spain’s 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands at the Amsterdam ArenA last night.

The 27-year-old has found it hard to nail down a spot in Luis Enrique’s team at the Nou Camp this term and has made only 12 league starts for the Catalan giants, suffering following the signing of Luis Suarez from Liverpool.

The Spaniard stressed that a lack of regular football has affected his game and admits that he is not going through the best of times with the club.

“When you have played just a few minutes it is very difficult to find rhythm”, Pedro was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

His latest comments will be music to the ears of Arsenal and Liverpool, who have been tracking developments at the Nou Camp and are keen to bring the Spaniard to England in the summer.

It was also claimed earlier this week that Barcelona are ready to let the player leave the club at the end of the season for a transfer fee of around €20m, with him only having a year left on his contract in the summer.
