Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo feels that the club stalwart Lionel Messi will be fit to play against Celta Vigo this weekend.

Messi is suffering from discomfort in his right foot which he suffered during Barcelona’s Champions League round of 16 second leg encounter against English champions Manchester City last month.

Scans on the 27-year-old’s foot revealed that he is not carrying any injury, but Argentina national team manager Tata Martino rested the striker for their two friendlies towards the end of last month as a precautionary measure.

Messi has enjoyed a stupendous run of form since the turn of the year which has helped the Catalan giants overhaul Real Madrid’s lead at the top of La Liga, and Luis Enrique’s men have now built up a substantial four-point lead in the race for the league title.

Bravo feels that the Argentine will be able to play against Celta Vigo, when Barcelona travel to the Balaidos on Sunday.
