Red Bull football marketing chief Oliver Mintzlaff has denied reports in England that his company are in talks to take over Championship side Leeds United.

It has been claimed in England that the drinks giant is in talks to buy the Whites for £60m and enter themselves into English football.

However, Mintzlaff has quickly denied such talk and claimed that Red Bull has no desire to take control of another football club, already boasting several sides in their portfolio.

The football marketing chief told German news agency DPA: "Another engagement within football is not planned."

Leeds' ownership situation is up in the air following a Football League ban handed out to majority owner Massimo Cellino.

The Italian businessman is banned from running Leeds until next month, though he may extend his absence from Elland Road to continue to fight a Football League rule.

Cellino has had an uneasy relationship with the Football League and it has been suggested on several occasions that he is willing to sell the club for the right price.

Red Bull too have been consistently linked with moving to take over Leeds. However, the drinks giant has continually denied plans to do so.
