Lazio are eyeing a move for on loan Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez at the end of the season.

The Mexican international arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu last summer on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United, but has been nothing but a peripheral figure at Real Madrid this term.

Making only one league start all season, Hernandez recently aired his frustration in public and is expected to leave the club this summer.

Manchester United are believed to be keen to offload the forward once he returns to Old Trafford at the end of the season and according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Lazio have joined the list of clubs who are keen to sign the Mexican.

Despite his lack of football this season, Lazio believe Hernandez still has bags of potential and want to take him to Rome as a replacement for Miroslav Klose, who is expected to leave the club at the end of the term.

However, the Biancocelesti are not the only club interested in the Mexican international as AC Milan and Inter are also closely following the striker’s trail and there is also interest from clubs in England.

Hernandez has scored just four goals this season, but he doesn’t have a dearth of suitors in the transfer market.
