Bayern Munich have opened talks with Turkish outfit Bursaspor for the signature of their defensive midfielder Ozan Tufan, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Schooled at Bursaspor’s youth academy, the 20-year-old has established himself as one of the key members of Senol Gunes’ squad at the Bursa Ataturk Stadium.

His impressive performances in Turkey have quickly caught the imagination of some of the top European clubs and Bayern Munich are currently in pole position to land Tufan this summer.

After extensively scouting the midfielder over the last few months, Pep Guardiola has asked the Bayern Munich hierarchy to bring the 20-year-old to Germany at the end of the season and according to Turkish daily Hurriyet, the club have opened talks with Bursaspor for Tufan.

While reluctant to lose the youngster, Bursaspor are aware that their player may not be able to resist the lure of playing for Bayern Munich and are trying to negotiate the best deal possible for the midfielder.
