Barcelona B forward Mohamed el Ouriachi has refused to sign a new contract with the Catalan outfit and he is expected to move to Premier League side Stoke City in the summer.

Moha joined Barcelona in the summer of 2010 and has been regarded among the hottest prospects in the reserve side of the Catalan giants; his current contract expires at the end of the current season.

If he moves to Stoke City, he will follow in the footsteps of Marc Muniesa and Bojan Krkic, both of whom chose the Britannia Stadium after leaving the Camp Nou in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

The 19-year-old’s agent Raul Verdu has revealed that the new contract offered by Barcelona isn’t up to scratch and that his client has a better offer from Stoke, who offer him first team action.

“[We] thank Barca for the deal it had with the player and the effort they wanted to do for renewal, but another proposal with professional and economic prospects has come that is really interesting”, Verdu was quoted as saying by Catalan daily Sport.

“It was a great opportunity because Moha has the option of joining the Stoke first team and it was something irresistible.”

Krkic has settled well in his first season in the Premier League and had scored four goals in his 16 appearances before rupturing his cruciate ligament that has sidelined him for the rest of the season.

Muniesa too has made 16 appearances for Mark Hughes’ side this term to help them reach tenth spot in the table. Moha could soon be joining forces with his La Masia seniors.
