Willem II winger Jerson Cabral feels John Guidetti has the ability to turn Feyenoord into title contenders next season.

The Dutch outfit have offered a contract to the Celtic striker for a summer switch to the Netherlands at the end of the season and are awaiting his answer for the moment.

Guidetti, who is out of contract with his parent club Manchester City in June and on loan at Celtic, is expected to make Feyenoord wait for his answer as he is hoping to attract more lucrative offers in the summer.

Cabral, who plays for Willem II in the Eredivisie, believes the Swede would be a wonderful signing for Feyenoord and his arrival would lift the mood around the Rotterdam team.

“Of course Feyenoord would want to have him in the squad”, Cabral told the Algemeen Dagblad.

“His presence in Rotterdam will create a positive atmosphere as he has a lot of quality.”

Feyenoord recently signed former striker Dirk Kuyt on a one-year contract and Cabral feels the combination of the veteran Dutch striker and Guidetti could deliver the league title for the club next season.

“If they can combine well, Feyenoord could have a real shot at the league title next season.”

Celtic are still interested in signing the forward on a permanent deal and the likes of Marseille and Inter are also waiting in the wings for him.
