Nir Bitton admits if he could pick any player to join him at Celtic it would be Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Israeli midfielder is a firm fan of the Portugal forward and would love nothing more than seeing him pull on the famous green and white hoops at Celtic Park.

Bitton was asked via Twitter what player he would like to join Celtic and why, and replied: "Cristiano. His hunger for the game is immense. He would be a fantastic player for the Hoops."

Bitton himself joined Celtic in 2013 from Israeli outfit FC Ashdod, his hometown team.

And the midfielder says he had no hesitation when he heard he was wanted by the Scottish champions, telling his agent to do all possible to move him to Glasgow.
