Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio feels that his team need to start every match with 100 per cent energy to keep the ball and put in all their efforts to finish the season on a high, with 18 points the target.

The Lilywhites, placed seventh in the league table, are desperately trying to secure a European spot for next season but will have a fair road to travel in order to secure a place.

With just six matches remaining in the season, Fazio knows better than anyone else that their job is going to be difficult and that is why he has urged his team-mates to give it their everything to secure all of a possible 18 points to finish the season on a high.

The 28-year-old though feels that they have to take things one game at a time and try to win against Newcastle United at St. James' Park on Sunday and look upon the match as the gateway for better things to come.

“We need to think only about the last six games now and try to get 18 points", Fazio told his club's official website.

“It’s difficult, but we can do it and we have the team to do it.

“We’re thinking about the first step first, Sunday at Newcastle and try to get the three points there. That’s all we can do.

“We need to have confidence and that’s the case for the six games left.

“We have to start with 100 per cent energy, to keep the ball and to give all our efforts to finish as high as we can in the Premier League.

“We need to be positive and to be confident, that’s most important. We can win these six games, it’s possible.”
