Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is refusing to concede the Premier League title to Chelsea despite his side losing 1-0 against the Blues today.

An Eden Hazard goal was all that separated the two sides at Stamford Bridge in a game that Manchester United dominated, Chelsea ending the match having enjoyed just 29 per cent possession at their own ground.

For the majority of the match it appeared as if Manchester United were the home team, but the Blues took all three points and are now eleven points clear of third placed Manchester United and ten clear of second placed Arsenal.

But despite having just five games for his side to play, while Chelsea have six matches to come, Van Gaal will not concede the title.

"No [we won’t concede the title] because we can still win 15 points and they can lose 18 points", Van Gaal smiled to Sky Sports.

Van Gaal also refused to speak about his players' individual performances, preferring to instead focus on a team effort he was very proud of.

"I don't think we have to evaluate individual players when I say it is the best performance of my team this season."

The Dutchman further conceded that his side lacked a little bit of luck when it came to converting their chances.

"To make goals also depends on the chances, but also a little bit on luck and we were also in that situation unlucky today."
