Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the top clubs who are tracking the progress of Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The French defensive midfielder has been an object of desire for a number of top European clubs for some time now but his performances in Monaco’s Champions League campaign this season have catapulted him to the status of one of the most sought after midfielders in the transfer market.

With more than three years left on his contract with the club, Monaco are calm about the situation but a number of top clubs are keenly following his performances for the Ligue 1 outfit.

According to L’Equipe, the English duo of Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the top sides who are keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation at the Stade Louis II.

While Liverpool want to add a top class defensive midfielder to their squad for next season, Arsenal got first hand knowledge of Kondogbia’s quality when he contributed to their downfall in the last 16 stage of the Champions League this season.
