Italian Serie A side Torino are interested in raiding Hull City for Uruguayan forward Abel Hernandez, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Tigers swooped to snap Hernandez up from Italian outfit Palermo last summer, but the hitman has struggled to hit the heights expected when he landed at the KC Stadium.

Hernandez's stock remains high in Serie A though and Torino are interested in adding the forward to their squad for next term.

The 24-year-old has managed only four goal for Hull so far this season. He did however strike against league leaders Chelsea towards the end of last month.

Hernandez hit 14 goals for Palermo last term in Serie B as he helped the club gain promotion back to the Italian top flight.
