Manchester City midfielder James Milner insists that the Citizens are focused on getting all three points when they play Aston Villa tomorrow.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men have endured an inconsistent run of form since the turn of the year and after losing four of their last seven outings they are occupying fourth spot in the table.

And with Liverpool following close behind in fifth, the onus is on Manchester City to gain consistency in the league and secure qualification for next season’s Champions League.

On the other hand, Aston Villa, who were flirting with the relegation zone, have enjoyed a change in fortunes since the appointment of Tim Sherwood in February. The Villans are now four points clear of the drop zone and have made it to the final of the FA Cup.

Milner insists that taking three points at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow remains the top priority for the Citizens.
