Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn well knows that Sheffield Wednesday will be a tough nut to crack tomorrow but insists that his team will give it their best knowing that bragging rights are at stake.

The Yorkshire rivals lock horns for the second time in the league this season, with the first one having ended in a 1-1 draw last October.

However, what will particularly worrying for Redfearn is the fact that the last time the Peacocks went to Hillsborough under former manager Brian McDermott, they suffered a humiliating 6-0 loss at the hands of the Owls.

Redfearn, who watched on from the Leeds backroom staff then, is therefore well aware of the kind of test that awaits his side on their first visit to Hillsborough since January 2014.

The 49-year-old manager though insists that his side are well prepared for the game and will not let either that result or their recent lacklustre performances in the Championship get the better of them.

"We’ve prepared well", Redfearn told his club's official website.

"We’re aware of the fact it’s a Yorkshire derby and obviously the bragging rights are at stake.

"We’ve put the lads back in place and monitored what they did on Monday after coming back after three games in one week.

"We had an Under-21s game on Monday which was great. There were some great performances which have given me a little bit to think about.

"We’ve planned and prepared a little bit more for Saturday’s game and we’ll finalise that on Friday."

Redfearn also took time to speak about his Sheffield Wednesday counterpart Stuart Gray and his team, who have been in decent form this season and might prove to be a tough nut to crack.

"I think they’ve got a good manager in Stuart Gray – he knows the level.

"I think they haven’t been that far off, they’ve just missed that bit to make them different and to make them challenge.

"They don’t seem to concede much and they always seem to be tight. I think they’re right up there with regard to clean sheets.

"They’re a tough nut to crack."
