Manchester United winger Ashley Young is delighted at his former club Watford earning promotion to the Premier League today.

Watford defeated Brighton 2-0 earlier today, a result which combined with both Norwich and Middlesbrough dropping points means the Hornets are now back in England's top flight.

Young was developed in the youth ranks at Watford and turned out for the club's senior side before being snapped up by Aston Villa in 2007.

The winger joined Manchester United in 2011, but has continued to keep track of the fortunes of the Hornets.

And he wasted no time in saluting Watford's return to the Premier League.

The winger now faces the prospect of returning to his former club for a Premier League fixture with Manchester United next season, something he will no doubt relish.
