Arsenal have confirmed their team to host rivals Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in a Premier League fixture this afternoon.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is bidding to turn around a poor record against his opposite number Jose Mourinho, has selected an array of attacking firepower in the form of Olivier Giroud to lead the line and Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla to provide support. Francis Coquelin will aim to protect the defence.
Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny form the partnership in the heart of defence, with Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal as the full-backs. On the bench, Wenger can turn to Danny Welbeck if he needs to chase the game, while Theo Walcott is also available as a substitute.
Arsenal head into the match sitting in third place in the Premier League and know that a win would push them back up to second, while also keeping alive their faint hopes of catching Chelsea at the top of the table.
