Celtic manager Ronny Deila has spooned praise onto striker Leigh Griffiths after he hit all three goals in the Bhoys' 3-0 win away at Dundee United this afternoon.

Griffiths, who has been in red hot form for Celtic of late, first strick in the 47th minute, when Stefan Johansen played him in and he guided a powerful shot into the back of the net.

The striker's second of the game came in the 65th minute, as he converted from close range, while his hat-trick was secured from the penalty spot in the 84th minute.

Celtic had a 3-0 win and moved a step closer towards retaining the Scottish Premiership, leaving Deila delighted and dubbing Griffiths' form "top level".

Deila was quoted as saying by the BBC: "The three points were deserved. The first half was poor, no tempo or aggression.

"Second half was much better so I am very pleased. We have played many matches, but we need attitude and aggression in every game.

"Leigh Griffiths delivered. His contribution is at the top level."

Celtic are now eight points clear of second placed Aberdeen at the top of the Premiership and should they win matches against Dundee and Aberdeen, their next two games, they will seal the title on 10th May.
