Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes that midfielder Aaron Ramsey was well within his rights to snub a handshake offer from TV presenter Piers Morgan following Sunday's 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Morgan has been scathing in his criticism of the Welsh midfielder at times and notably labelled Ramsey a "liability".

The TV presenter is also a firm advocate of Arsenal sacking current manager Arsene Wenger, who he feels has failed to reach the desired levels since leading the Gunners to the Premier League title in 2004.

Morgan confirmed that Ramsey had turned down his offer of a handshake following Sunday's game and ex-Arsenal striker Wright feels that the TV presenter's criticism must have affected Ramsey. And, he believes, the midfielder was within his rights not to shake Morgan's hand.

"It must have got to him", Wright was quoted as saying by the BBC.
