Celtic manager Ronny Deila will not be tricked into confirming his interest in Dundee United duo John Souttar and Nadir Ciftci.

Deila raided Dundee United in the winter transfer window to bring in Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Steven, two players he was open about his admiration for.

The Norwegian has been tipped to repeat the trick when the summer window swings open, with Souttar and Ciftci in his sights.

But despite much probing at a press conference, Deila will neither confirm or deny wanting the duo at Celtic Park.

"These are just rumours. As I've said, I don't think I want to comment on any names", the Celtic manager explained.

"We have our targets and we work on things. When it's clear, we will tell you."

And Deila was not in the mood to offer any hints about whether the Dundee United pair are players he rates.

"Do I admire those types of players? That's a leading question. [Smiles] Next!

"We'll see what the future brings."

Both Mackay-Steven and Armstrong have had a positive impact since they joined Celtic in the winter window and the pair are set to help the Bhoys to the Scottish Premiership title, something which could be wrapped up with victory over Dundee on Friday if Aberdeen then slip up.
