Juventus are pondering making a move for AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong, who has also been linked with Manchester United.

The Dutch midfielder’s contract with the Rossoneri runs out at the end of the season and there is speculation that he is not keen to sign a new deal.

With De Jong seemingly available on a free transfer in the summer, he has been linked with a move to a number of clubs, including Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

However, Manchester United have been keeping a close watch on the Dutchman and Louis van Gaal is said to be keen to make a swoop for his compatriot in the summer.

But the Red Devils are now expected to face stiff competition for the midfielder as Juventus are now thinking about taking him to Turin at the end of the season on a free transfer.
