Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admits his players are "very disappointed" following today's 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford to West Brom.

The Baggies defended resolutely against Van Gaal's men and took the lead just after the hour mark when a Chris Brunt free-kick took a deflection off Jonas Olsson and beat David de Gea as a result.

Manchester United did have chances to equalise, with Robin van Persie missing a penalty and then finding the West Brom goalkeeper equal to a shot and a free-kick.

The 1-0 defeat is Manchester United's third defeat in a row and Van Gaal admits the dressing room is now a very disappointed place.

Asked by Sky Sports how he can turn things around, Van Gaal replied: "Only by communicating because they are now very disappointed, but the manager is also disappointed.
