Inter legend Nicola Berti has urged his former club to win the race for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, while stressing that Manchester City's Yaya Toure would also be a good signing for the Nerazzurri.

Roberto Mancini's men have struggled to make their mark in Serie A this season and will again miss out on the Champions League next term.

Currently Inter are eighth in Serie A and are already eyeing bringing players in over the summer to mount a serious push for a Champions League spot next season.

And Berti knows exactly who he would bring in if he could, telling FC Inter News: "I would be happy if two players arrived.

"First, the German defender at Borussia Dortmund, Hummels", he continued.

"And Yaya Toure, who may be 31 years old, although he could quickly find strength and motivation, especially finding a new coach like Mancini, who is his true father."

Berti, who turned out for Inter between 1988 and 1998, would also be happy to see Inter win the race for Palermo striker Paulo Dybala.

"I'd also be happy if Dybala came, that wouldn't hurt."

Toure has long been tipped for a summer move to Inter, but the Italian giants would be likely to face opposition from Manchester United if they launched a bid to sign Hummels.

Dybala meanwhile has a whole host of suitors, including Arsenal, Real Madrid, Juventus, Napoli and Manchester United.
