Arsene Wenger has revealed he is in the market for world-class players in the summer transfer window as he looks to only tinker with his Arsenal squad.

Wenger's men ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over Hull City at the KC Stadium this evening, with two goals from Alexis Sanchez and a single strike from Aaron Ramsey doing the damage.

The result means Champions League football is now secured for Arsenal, while they are level on points with second placed Manchester City as they seek to finish as Premier League runners up.

Wenger was asked about his transfer policy for next season and whether he will only be looking to add a few players. And indeed, the Frenchman believes he already has the basis of his side in place.

He told Sky Sports: "Of course, because we have a big squad and we have to see how we finish. We want to focus on finishing well this season and then see what we can do, but the basis is there.

"We do not need to buy a number of players, if we find top world-class players. But we have a strong squad already numbers [wise].

"We want to basically stay together and start well next season."

Wenger says he can have no complaints at Chelsea winning the Premier League this term and he is now eyeing Arsenal fighting Jose Mourinho's men for the title next season.

"I feel we have made progress and Chelsea are worthy winners of the Premier League because they have been the most consistent team of all", he said.

"But let's prepare well for next season and give them a good fight."
