Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is refusing to give up hope on his side finishing in the Premier League's top four this season and has ordered his men to keep fighting.

Following the weekend's results, Liverpool are four points behind fourth placed Manchester United with three games left to play. And one of Liverpool's remaining matches sees the side travel to take on champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Rodgers is refusing to give up hope and has told his side to keep fighting until the final game of the season.

"We'll just continue to fight to finish as high as we can", the Liverpool boss told LFC TV.

"If we can do that, we just never know what can happen", the Northern Irishman continued.

"Of course, there aren't so many games left, but you've just got to keep going right to the very end."

Liverpool travel to face Chelsea next weekend, but with Manchester United playing before the Reds take to the pitch, the gap between the two clubs could be seven points by the time Rodgers' men kick off against the champions.

Rodgers' men finished second in the Premier League last season, but have seen their goals for tally plunge this term.
