Barcelona manager Luis Enrique feels that his team will need to be at their best both in attack and defence when they play Bayern Munich tonight.

The Camp Nou will play host to the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and newly-crowned German champions Bayern Munich tonight before the action moves to the Allianz Arena next week.

Enrique has dubbed tonight’s clash huge, but added that he feels positive about his teams chances.

“This is a huge tie against a real heavyweight, but I feel positive”, he was quoted as saying by UEFA.

The match will also see the return of Pep Guardiola to his old stomping ground, and Enrique said that his team are competing against Bayern Munich and not their manager.

“I know Pep and I know there could be surprises which could complicate matters. Over the season we have dealt with different problems and surprises our opponents have come up with.

“We are not thinking in terms of beating Pep; we want to beat Bayern, one of Europe's most famous clubs.”

Barcelona are in the running for La Liga, the Champions League as well as the Copa del Rey, winning them all will see them collect their second treble in their history, but the Catalan giants’ boss has warned his side not to think too far ahead and focus on the job at hand.

He added that against a team of Bayern Munich’s calibre, Barcelona will need to be good in defence as well as attack.

“I like the word 'treble' – I love it – but we know it can go from three to zero.

“Defending and attacking will both be key.

“We have to score goals and not concede any, which means we have to be a complete team. It's not just about attackers and defenders, we all have to do both jobs.”
