Juventus striker Carlos Tevez is thinking about extending his stay in Turin beyond this summer.

The former Manchester City man scored a crucial penalty last night that gave Juventus the lead in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Real Madrid.

Tevez is the club’s top scorer this season and is also the Italian top flight’s most prolific marksman but there has been speculation the Argentine might be leaving the club this summer.

There have been rumours that the forward is feeling homesick and is in talks to join his boyhood club Boca Juniors in Argentina at the end of the season.

Tevez still has more than a year left on his deal with the club and there was talk that he might ask Juventus to terminate his contract to facilitate his move to Boca Juniors.

However, Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta recently squashed the speculation and said that Tevez will stay with the club.

And according to Sky Italia, the forward himself is now considering staying with the Italian champions beyond the summer. The club hierarchy are not keen to lose Tevez and the player himself is seemingly thinking about extending his stay with the Bianconeri.

Tevez has led the Juventus strikeforce to another league title this season and is again expected to play a crucial role as the club look to qualify for their first Champions League final since 2003.
