Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre has professed his love for the Hoops, saying that everyone associated with the Scottish giants has always supported him to the hilt.

Izaguirre arrived at Celtic Park from Honduran outfit Club Deportivo Motagua in the summer of 2010 and since then he has gone on to become an integral presence in the Celtic first team under two different managers – first Neil Lennon and now Ronny Deila.

The left-back has endeared himself to the Celtic faithful with his stellar performances at the club and he is one of the crowd favourites of the reigning Scottish champions.

Acknowledging the love and support shown by everyone associated with the Hoops, the Honduras international has said that the affection is mutual and he loves representing the Bhoys as much as the fans like to see him in the club’s colours.

“The fans, staff and players are so good with me”, the 28-year-old told Celtic View.
