Adam Lallana has acknowledged that Liverpool have endured a difficult season this term, but feels that the Reds’ new arrivals will be better for their experiences next season.

Liverpool enjoyed a spectacular campaign last term when they mounted a serious challenge for the league title before they eventually succumbed by two points and Manchester City were crowned English champions.

But Brendan Rodgers’ side have been unable to replicate last season’s form and are currently occupying fifth spot in the table. With three matches to go before the season draws to a close, Liverpool face an uphill battle to close down Manchester United’s four-point gap in the race for a top four finish.

The Merseyside giants saw the arrival of several new faces at Anfield in the summer and the new players have taken time in adjusting to their new surroundings.

And Lallana, himself a summer signing from Southampton, feels that the Liverpool players will be better for their experiences this season and emerge strong next term.
