Zinedine Zidane has contacted Manchester United target Paul Pogba to convince him to join Real Madrid, it has been claimed.

The French midfielder’s future at Juventus continues to be a topic of heavy speculation as his suitors start playing their cards in the transfer saga as the summer window edges closer.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, who are ready to splash big money for Pogba, have been maintaining a close watch on developments in Turin and Barcelona are also believed to be laying down the groundwork for a future approach for the midfielder.

However, Real Madrid have started to flex their muscles for Pogba. Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, was spotted yesterday in the hotel that was housing Carlo Ancelotti’s men in Turin and though he remained coy on his client’s future, there is speculation that Real Madrid have stepped up on their interest in the Juventus man.

Real Madrid have been plotting using Zidane, the club’s B team coach and an influential voice at the Bernabeu, in the transfer saga surrounding Pogba and according to Sky Italia, the French World Cup winner has already spoken to the midfielder to convince him to join Los Blancos.
