Inter are prepared to sell Liverpool target Mateo Kovacic this summer, but have slapped a €30m asking price on the Croatian's head, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are planning a major overhaul of their playing squad this summer and are keen to bring in an array of fresh talent to San Siro.

However, they are also aware that with their current financial status they will need to sell players first to finance their spending spree.

Midfielder Kovacic is one of the players who are on the chopping block at the Nerazzurri. Liverpool have been monitoring his progress in Italy and are believed to be keen to place a bid for him this summer.

Barcelona are also interested in getting their hands on the midfielder and though Inter are willing to sell the player, they have a set price in their mind for Kovacic.

Inter have set an asking price of €30m for the 21-year-old and won’t entertain offers below the mooted figure.

The Nerazzurri are aware that they might need to sell the Linz-born midfielder to finance their summer expenditure, but they won’t allow his suitors to bully them into selling him on a cut-price deal.

With more than four years left on his contract, Inter feel €30m is a just price for one of the most talented young midfielders in European football.
