Atletico Madrid have added two further names to their list of potential left-back signings this coming summer.

First choice for Los Rojiblancos in the left-back slot is Filipe Luis, who departed the club to sign for Chelsea last summer, but has not settled at Stamford Bridge under Jose Mourinho.

However, Atletico Madrid are well aware that Luis could prove to be out of reach and a list of alternative options has been drawn up.

FC Porto's Alex Sandro and Monaco's Layvin Kurzawa are on the list, but a further two names have now been added according to Madrid-based daily Marca.

And they are Arsenal defender Monreal and Bayern Leverkusen man Wendell.

Monreal joined the Gunners from Malaga in January 2013, but continues to face stiff opposition for a starting spot at the Emirates Stadium from Kieran Gibbs and has been linked with a return to Spain, most notably with Athletic Bilbao.

Wendell meanwhile linked up with Leverkusen only last year from Brazilian outfit Londrina, having had loan spells with Parana and Gremio.
