Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck feels that it was a good experience for him to go back to Old Trafford and secure a win against his former side Manchester United to ensure passage through for the Gunners to the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Welbeck scored the winning goal against his former side to knock them out of the tournament and ensure a place in the semi-final for his team.

According to the Manchester-born player, his side knew from the beginning that they had to go through and they did everything to ensure a positive result.

Welbeck also took time to concede that his side failed to capitalise on a couple of chances that they managed to create, but had to wait until the second half to find the winner to secure the all important win.

"It was my first time going back to Old Trafford, playing against them", Welbeck said in an interview with his club's official website.
