AC Milan are set to make a last ditch attempt to keep Manchester United target Nigel de Jong at the club with a final renewal offer.

The Dutchman’s deal with the Rossoneri runs out this summer and he is yet to agree a new contract with the club, leading to speculation that he is on his way out of the San Siro at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri have been trying to convince him to stay at the club but De Jong has so far knocked back multiple contract offers from AC Milan.

It is believed that the 30-year-old is keen to change his surroundings this summer and with Manchester United rumoured to be interested, the Dutchman is ready to leave the Italian giants at the end of the season.

However, AC Milan are set to make a last ditch attempt to keep hold of the player and according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato they are prepared to make a last contract offer to the midfielder.
