Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is not sure about what his starting eleven will be against Aston Villa in the FA Cup final as his only concern is bringing back the trophy to the Emirates Stadium.

Last year it was Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere who came on as substitutes late into extra time to play important roles in securing a famous win for the Gunners against Hull City at Wembley.

And that is precisely why Wenger is not sure about whom to pick out as his would-be hero for the final this year.

According to him, in most cases it is players that come on as substitutes in the final that make all the difference, and that is why his focus this time around will be on the whole squad rather than any individual.

“I don’t know who will start yet and it’s not important because it’s just [about what happens] on the day in the FA Cup final”, Wenger told his club's official website.

“What is important is that you bring the trophy back.

“I just think it is important to focus as a whole squad on winning the trophy. Most of the time the heroes are the people who come on in an FA Cup final – they make the difference.

“That’s why it is important as a reward for the whole team who have fought very hard the whole season to get there. Let’s deal with it as a whole squad.”
