AS Roma have initiated contact with Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko’s representatives for a transfer this summer.

The Giallorossi are keen to bolster their attacking options for next season and are actively searching for forwards in the summer transfer window.

Adem Ljajic and Francesco Totti are Roma’s top scorers this season with nine strikes each and the club hierarchy understand that they need to add a top marksman this summer to compete with Juventus in the new season.

Manchester City striker Dzeko is believed to have emerged as a top target for Roma and the club are laying down the groundwork to get the transfer done before the start of their pre-season preparations.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the club have already made initial contact with the player’s representatives to discuss a potential transfer to Italy for his client.
