The 18-year-old starlet has earned rave reviews for his performances in the Belgian top flight for Anderlecht and has already brushed shoulders with the superstars of the game in the Champions League.

At 18, he is already a nailed down starter in the Anderlecht team and his rapid rise at the club has been noticed by some of the top clubs across Europe.

Clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have been closely monitoring Tielemans’ progress in the Belgian top flight and are said to be keen to get their hands on the young midfielder.

Though he is being followed by European heavyweights, Tielemans stressed that he is keen to continue at Anderlecht beyond the summer.

While he admits that a transfer could have been a viable option, he feels staying at his boyhood club is the best choice for his career at the moment.

“I am calm; I am sure that next season I am going to play here”, Tielemans told RTBF.

“Going away would have been a good option too but the best thing for me is to go ahead and play for this shirt.”

The 18-year-old has a contract until 2020 with the Belgian outfit.
